The IX Prandone Merlot from Il Conte Villa Prandone is an exceptionally structured and long-lived Merlot from Marche, impressively combining power, depth, and elegance. In the glass, it presents itself in an impenetrable, saturated ruby red, dense and concentrated.

On the nose, an enveloping and complex bouquet of blackberries and cranberries unfolds, complemented by fresh notes of mint and eucalyptus as well as a finely spicy hint of black pepper. This special aromatic profile is an expression of both the terroir and careful winemaking.

The depth and structure of this Merlot result from a long maceration of 20–25 days on the skins, followed by an exceptionally long maturation of a total of 36 months, divided between oak barrels, cement tanks, and subsequent bottle aging. This careful aging gives the wine remarkable stability and aging potential – it is designed to evolve over many years and only reaches its maximum expressiveness after 20 to 25 years.

On the palate, the IX Prandone Merlot presents itself as powerful yet elegant, with a stable, finely polished tannin structure supported by an intense fruitiness.
