The luxurious Hamam towel Charlotte is a hand-woven, wonderfully soft pestemal. It is ideal as a towel for the beach, sauna and pool and perfect as a Hamam towel. It looks great as a pareo or scarf and is guaranteed to attract admiring glances and many questions. At home, Charlotte can be used both as a bath and shower towel and as a throw on the couch. It becomes softer with every wash and the cotton fibres become smoother and more absorbent with every use.
We source the Charlotte Hamam towel from a pestemal manufacturer in Izmir, where it is produced on traditional, semi-automatic looms. The warp threads are then knotted by women working from home. This weaving pattern has been used for Hamam towels in Turkey for centuries.
